Young Women In Excellence 2008

My little Cheyanne with her Young Womens President Sarah Olivier and our sweet Bishop Bennett, seems like we just baptized this little girl.....
Cheyanne is taller than Grandma Leikness, well both of her grandmothers, she is gonna be tall. We are all so short!

Cheyanne giving her presentation on her value project, she did great!

She was asked to direct the music. She was way out of her comfort zone, nobody would have known, she did a fine job.

I am so proud of my daughter, I mean she is my favorite daughter and my best daughter. How did I get so lucky? Thank goodness for little girls...........

For the Record...

So, it looks like Josh is just almost as tall as Grandpa Leikness, well Josh is standing up really straight and Grandpa is just standing!! Pretty close though.....
ok, ok so my Dad is gonna kill me if he see's this! Cheyanne put a purple hair extension in and Josh made the mistake of giving him the guitar and turning Guitar Hero on. Wow, I think he got booed off faster than me! Go Grandpa...

Josh's soccer banquet. He really loved playing and did great for his very first season. He won the John Deer Mower award for most side tackles!

Friday Fun

Gotta love Denver on a beautiful, warm Fall day.
Lunch at the Museum of Nature and Science.

The best part of the entire trip to the museum was the hand dryer! My boys love to stand under it while it's running, but it's a little warm so Luke taught Levi to pull his hood up. woops Levi didn't have a hood, so the whole shirt came up. I'm so proud of my special sons! Can you imagine the other Mothers, they probably felt sorry for me!!!!

Future Astronaut? nah, wrong uniform.....

Future astronaut? yeh! Luke is obsessed with the museum, having a family pass is all I need to keep him entertained, forget Boondocks or Elitches, just take him to the museum......

pullin at the heartstrings

This is Luke's depiction of his Uncle Gary. He used red since my brother Gary is a handsome red head awwwwww....
This one says it all. I mean the resemblance is striking. Keiths hair and body shape, my brothers hands, so realistic!

Pumpkin Patch Chronicles

home made granola bars. Miller staple food! No high fructose corn syrup or partially hydrogenated oils and way less fat and calories than store bought.
5 cups rice crispy cereal
4 cups oats
1 cup honey
1 cup splenda
1 cup natural chunky peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 pinches cinnamon (optional)
mix cereal and oats and any other add ins; raisins, craisins, carob or chocolate mini chips, anything you want to add. Then melt and mix sugar, honey, peanut butter and vanilla in the microwave. Add to all dry ingredients and press into a slightly olive oil sprayed pan. Let sit for as long as you can wait! Cut into bars or squares and enjoy....

Annual trip to Pumpkin Patch, we had so much fun...Notice how beautiful my friend Michelle looks and how special I appear to be! hmmmm
The clan! They hear us coming, 9 kids between the two of us plus some friends tagged along!

So Luke had more fun on the Jungle Gym than he did the pumpkin patch. He said the pumpkins were boring............Levi is POTTY TRAINED, we made a couple of trips to the port o pottys. Levi was pretty sure he was gonna fall in, I earned his trust that day!!!!!
