My boys and I getting back on the boat at Ensanada......we had a great time!

Keith, Cheyanne and I went to a fun show, the best part of the cruise was the daycare 8am to 3am every day!!!! We enjoyed that for sure!

Josh loves street tacos, along with the rest of us. We aren't afraid of anything! This stand was delicious, and no food poisoning. I love Mexico!

Luke lost his first on Tuesday April 14th 2009! Bottom front tooth! He let me do the honors....I have my dental floss technique, no pulling, no pain, it just pops out like a charm, he loved it!

Levi wanted to be in the picture but was trying to not show his mouth because he hasn't lost a tooth yet!!! So he really tightened up, what a nerd....

Luke was supposed to smile for this one and well, after about 5 shots I gave up on the wierdness of it. Needless to say, it's so bizarre to be at this stage with a child again. It's been a long time. We are getting Joshua's wisdom teeth out in a couple of months in anticipation of his mission, I know it's very weird.

My tradition is to bring my birthday boy or girl breakfast in bed. Levi wanted french toast with powdered suger and candles! Luke and Levi want to sleep in the same bed, so they both sleep in the top bunk bed together. It's so cute. Some day when they are teenagers I can tease them about it.....

So Levi wanted to decorate his own cake for our family birthday party. Wow, we went and bought a fire truck, forklift and tractor. After he did it all by himself, he snuck into the corner and ate a big chunk out of it! Glad it was only our family.

These crazy girls helped Cheyanne celebrate turning 13. I cannot believe my only little girl is officially a teenager. She had this hilarious idea of having a princess party hence the "sweet" Barbie cake that I whipped up for her! The girls enjoyed the famous Miller Fountain of Chocolate and stayed up all night playing World Tour and lots of laughing! Happy Birthday little Cheyanney!

Nothing amazingly great or bad (knock on wood) ever really happens to me. I would say that I am thankful there are no extremes in my life. You know, but I certainly have enjoyed the miraculous events not to downplay those. Kind of funny I took Saturday and just thought about it. Here is a list of just things that I did or things that happened to me....man what a boring life I lead, what can I say. Just holdin down the fort!!!

1. assisted Dr. Miller with post operative patient check ups
2. watched my daughter play basketball at church after Levi threw up on her bed
3. pulled Levi's pants up about 100 times (he comes out of the bathroom with them around his ankes no matter where we are)
4. ran some boot camps private sessions
5. soothed a sad 5 yr old, coaxed him out of his sadness
6. washed throw up off my jacket and jeans (from Levi)
7. welcomed my teenage boy back home from a mountain camping trip, brrrrrr.
8. hugged and kissed my husband.
9. drank a Starbucks hot cocoa, mmmmm
10. read scriptures with my family
11. ironed shirts for Sunday
12. went for a long run
13. went to the rodeo with my family, so much fun
14. bought groceries after the rodeo at 11pm at night, needed for Sunday lunch
15. crashed on my pillow

Christmas came a little early for us this year, we are heading to the mountains for the rest of the week, didn't want to haul presents up there!

I stole this idea from Kaitlyn Ellis........2 vanilla wafers with a good spoonful of peanut butter to hold them together, then stick the craft stick in the middle, dunk in chocolate almond bark, lay on wax paper, sprinkle on the Reeses Pieces and let harden. soooooooooo cute and yummy

Cheyanne is taller than Grandma Leikness, well both of her grandmothers, she is gonna be tall. We are all so short!

She was asked to direct the music. She was way out of her comfort zone, nobody would have known, she did a fine job.

The best part of the entire trip to the museum was the hand dryer! My boys love to stand under it while it's running, but it's a little warm so Luke taught Levi to pull his hood up. woops Levi didn't have a hood, so the whole shirt came up. I'm so proud of my special sons! Can you imagine the other Mothers, they probably felt sorry for me!!!!

Pumpkin Patch Chronicles

home made granola bars. Miller staple food! No high fructose corn syrup or partially hydrogenated oils and way less fat and calories than store bought.
5 cups rice crispy cereal
4 cups oats
1 cup honey
1 cup splenda
1 cup natural chunky peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 pinches cinnamon (optional)
mix cereal and oats and any other add ins; raisins, craisins, carob or chocolate mini chips, anything you want to add. Then melt and mix sugar, honey, peanut butter and vanilla in the microwave. Add to all dry ingredients and press into a slightly olive oil sprayed pan. Let sit for as long as you can wait! Cut into bars or squares and enjoy....

So Luke had more fun on the Jungle Gym than he did the pumpkin patch. He said the pumpkins were boring............Levi is POTTY TRAINED, we made a couple of trips to the port o pottys. Levi was pretty sure he was gonna fall in, I earned his trust that day!!!!!

Reunion/Ft. Lupton Volleyball Team! Look at these sweet young women, just don't get in their way! Several girls had already left but our team was so much fun. ok, ok, so I have the cheapest and most horrible camera in the world. I'm working on it.....
I can only get a decent shot if the universe holds really still. Cheyanne is an awesome server, she is on her own, I am so not athletic that way.
One more set of games next Saturday and that's it. I really enjoy watching her play

Cheyanne is my little photographer, she is always behind the camera so I never have any pictures of her. She loved getting some snapshots of little Lukey at his final soccer game!

ok, so this is really what 3 and 4 year olds come to soccer for....they mostly chase each other and play and swin each other around....so hilarious!
Go Luke, when he concentrates too hard the tongue comes out. What a fun time we had watching him play this season. Cheyanne got to be the Assistant Coach which Luke really loved.

Josh plays on the Denver Lacrosse League on the Mountain Range High School Team....He Rocks! He goes after it, the games are so fun to watch, you can't keep quiet I've tried.
He's ready to go back in for a face off. Lacrosse is so intense, I am always worried he will get hurt
Homecoming 2008. Josh can't date yet so he went stag. He had work to do at the dance and maybe he enjoyed himself too. Wow to think I gave birth to him!
My parents were there to see Josh all ready for the dance. Josh spent the last couple of weeks organizing, setting up, working and tons of other student counsel responsibilities. I am very proud of him and his hardworking attitude.

I have wrinkles, I am 37, My son is about to get his driving permit, we just had a long discussion about what profession he would like to go into because he is worried about being away from his wife and kids too much (he's worried about this at 15)!!!!!!! My parents just retired, my husband has some grey hairs, two of the young women that I taught just a few years ago are becoming mothers (one is on her second child), the clothes that I like are not really age appropriate, I am not sure what dept. to shop in, do they have a department called "I feel 20 but I'm not?"ugh......

Luke had his long awaited play date with his friend from school, Zachary. They wanted to go to McDonalds then to our house for LEGO TIME!!

McDonalds now has really cool toys, I did not know that. This was the Lego Batman collection. The boys got Penguin.

Sunday Morning Scramble!

Starting Sunday off by still being over at the Sturgells at 1am playing pool is a not good idea! yawn. Not to mention our training group did a mile lake swim and a 15 mile run earlier that day, yawn!!
Luke and Braxton playing air hockey, yes we even had our kids up that late, what is wrong with us?
So a mere 7 hours later the boys are up running around naked when I undress them for their bath, there is something about that extremely white and skinny bum that makes me smile, what can I say?
Someday these pictures will come in handy, oh about 12 years from now, hee hee ha ha.
I am not usually that sentimental, but having four white shirts to iron for the Sabbath always makes me a little, you know, misty eyed. Oh, Keith already put his on and was out the door.

I sure love my husband. I mean come on, he actually likes, well loves me! He is my best friend and is in my opinion the perfect husband....he is the one who begged for 4 kids (not me), he does dishes, changes diapers, sits and does homework with the kids, not to mention see's who knows how many patients in a day, climbs 14er's, can fix anything (even me)....I just love him Forever.

What happened to my little Cheyanne? Now she is taller than me and always has been smarter! 7th Grade here she comes! Her own locker and school soccer, so cool Middle School Time!!!

My handsome little prince Lukey! He is so eager and ready to learn. He is the most inquisitive child that we have had, I can answer all of his questions now, but what about when he is 10, ahhhh! He loves Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Weber (so do I)
ok, so lastly my little boys always drag their blankeys up to our room out of their beds every night!!! They are banned from our bed, but about 2am I hear them sneak into our room lay out blankets and sneak pillows, they don't even wake us. But I hear it all anyways! Levi is a cuddler!

I sure love my little Levi and it's a good thing. This morning I was trying to prepare my talk for tomorrow, well I told my little boys to go play and leave Mom alone for a little bit. I hear a boom and a cry, of course I go running to see what happened. Well, Levi was trying to get himself a drink of red crysal lite and dropped it all over. Where do you start cleaning this stuff up? The scream was him slipping in it and falling on his little head, ugh. why does he always pick red?

I am so sad, I took my big kids to the airport this morning!!! This is the first time they have flown without me. They are headed to BYU for lacrosse and soccer camps, so much fun for them. I am also hoping to sway them in that direction for their college choice. I don't think I will have a problem getting Cheyanne there but Josh really has his heart set on the Naval Academy. I will keep trying....hee hee I will have my little stinkers here to keep me busy all week without the big kids.

So this cute little disease infested creature had the nerve to hide in our pantry! Keith set the sticky trap while the rest of us sat on the kitchen table and waited. Then BOOM he was stuck and it was pitiful.....Cheyanne did not like the idea of this little mouse in our house she screamed!! Hopefully there will be no more any time soon.

My First Olympic Triathlon

OMG!!!!!! I finished my first Olympic Triathlon today, like wow!!!

Okay so I was so excited for this day I have done sprint triathlons but this was huge in my mind. I have been spending really this whole past year waking up at 5am everyday hitting the pool or running or hopping on my bike. So I pulled my dear hubby out of bed at 4:30am and we drove to Loveland Lake so I could live out one of my goals. What a blast 1500 meter swim, 30 mile bike ride then a 6 mile run. I have another scheduled for July 26 cannot wait! Then as I came home pretty wiped out Levi surprised me with his lipstickapalooza, gotta love a 2 yr old......

Another year and another Christmas. We wish everyone and joyous Christmas and miss our family and friends that are not with us this year. This year our family lost some and gained some and we are grateful for the strength we gain through each other and the time we have been given to share together. Keith and I are grateful for our sweet children and our relationship that we share.
